Travel Information

1) Entrance to the Republic of Korea

Foreigners entering Korea are required to have a visa or K-ETA (from VISA-free countries).
However, some countries are designated as K-ETA exemption countries until Dec. 31, 2026.
Therefore, you may need to check your case carefully before prepare your trip.

– (CASE 1) K-ETA Exemption Countries
If your nationality is Australian, Austrian, Belgian, Canadian, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Hong Kong, Italian, Japanese, Macanese, Dutch, New Zealander, Norwegian, Polish, Singaporean, Spanish, Swedish, Taiwanese, British, or American (including Guam), you do not need to prepare a visa or K-ETA to enter Korea.

– (CASE 2) K-ETA for VISA-free Countries
Despite your nationality do not require visa, K-ETA application is required before entering to Korea. For a detail, please check the official K-ETA site for your application (https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/newapply/index.do). *If the K-ETA application is not possible, you must obtain a visa to enter Korea.

– (CASE 3) VISA for VISA-required Countries

Guide for Presenters

1) Abstract Guideline

– (Presentation Title) Presentation title should not exceed 25 words.
– (Abstract Length) Abstract length should not exceed 250 words.

2) Oral Presentation Guideline

– (Presentation File Format) All the presentation file should be prepared .pdf, .ppt or .pptx format.
– (Preparation for Presentation) Laptops will be provided in each session room; therefore, we kindly ask you to prepare your own storage device, such as a USB drive or SSD.
– (Presentation Time) Invite presentation: 20 min, Oral presentation: 15 min
*All presentation times include Q&A sessions, so please conclude your presentation 3 to 5 minutes before the scheduled end time.

3) Poster Presentation Guideline

– (Preparation for Poster) Poster should be prepared as A0 format (1189 mm (Tall) × 841 mm (Width)).
– (Poster Boards) The size of poster boards is suitable for posting A0 size portrait (1200 mm (Tall) × 900 mm (Width)).
– (Evaluation Time) During the poster session, referees will evaluate your presentation to select the “Best iHSM3 Poster Awards.” Please stay focused during this time to increase your chances of winning!
